Well folks, this has been a fun experiment, but sometimes you have to try the same experiment with different variables. Last week, I hit thirty normal posts on this site, which is a good milestone. Writing for this website has been impactful to me, to say the least, over the last few months. I don’t intend on stopping, but I do intend on revamping how I post on here.
What started out as ways to get all sorts of thoughts out onto the web and out of my head blossomed into an experience that helps me feed my thirst for knowledge and understanding. The writing I’ve put up here has kind of fed the need to write serious stuff in a way I haven’t really done since college, except now I get to choose my topics based on what interests me.
However, the work I put out now has become increasingly longer than the first few articles I wrote. I try to do solid research on what I write, and I’ve found that I’m having less time to write and put things together in a way that’s of the quality of work I want to put out. Three posts a week has left me less time to work on other creative avenues as well. I have a novel in the works that I want to dedicate more time to working on. And, quite frankly, I’m struggling to come up with as many entertainment topics as I had in the beginning of this venture. Sometimes, they can be a bit harder to conceptualize and execute on.
So, the brilliant idea hit me to cut back a little.
Starting this week, from here on out, the new posting schedule will be an article on Tuesday of each week. This will be entertainment or world affairs. Thursdays will be the new day for creative pieces. Essentially folding the topics for Monday and Wednesday into once a week on Tuesdays, and moving Friday posts to Thursday.
Maybe what I did at first was a bit ambitious. Two articles and a creative piece each week for ten weeks is something I’m proud of. It’s pretty impressive as a way to jump start this venture. I hope you’ve enjoyed reading all of this as much as I’ve enjoyed writing it. And I hope you continue checking out all the stuff yet to come.
