Hello! My name is Ryder. I’m a writer with a degree in English Literature who has been writing stories since I was in high school, playing guitar since college, and taking photographs since I was very little.
This site started in college as a blog for two courses I took. I left it up in the intervening years since I didn’t know what to do with it. In 2024, I decided to resurrect this place, and come up with a regular posting schedule. I’ve been quiet on a lot of matters for a long time, and felt it was time that changed. The website name, “Ark of the Lost Angels” came from a high school acquaintance attempting to remember the name of the first Indiana Jones movie. I liked the phrase so much that I did what every great writer does, and stole it outright.
On this site, I plan to post articles on world affairs and entertainment on Tuesdays. This ranges from politics to society to history, to concerts or movies I’ve seen recently, thoughts on music and television and film and gaming in general, and so on.
For the last several years, I’ve been working on creative writing as a passion of mine. I have developed multiple novel ideas, a few short stories, and plenty of poetry since college. With such a backlog, I thought it was best to have some place of mine to showcase it. That’s what Thursdays are for. ope that some or all of what I’m offering here will strike a chord with you, and I hope you stay awhile and delve into what I’m thinking.
